Our physical curriculum is a balance of non-violent conflict resolution, scenario-based self-defense and traditional marital art techniques.

 

TKD
Taekwon-do:
Ages 7-adult

Taekwon-do is a Korean martial art. In Korean, tae (태, 跆) means "to strike or break with foot"; kwon (권, 拳) means "to strike or break with fist"; and do (도, 道) means "way". Thus, Taekwon-do may be loosely translated as "the way of the foot and the hand".

aikido:
Ages 14 - Adult

Aikido is an almost purely defensive martial art. Aikido emphasizes evasion of attack and blending with the attacker's momentum to control the force and finally neutralize the attack.

UBBC:
Adults Only

The UBBC is a eighteen month journey into personal transformation and individual goals. It will require participants, to perform a wide variety of tasks and challenges. Each activity is designed to create a personal transformation in the participant. In addition to the UBBC’s required tasks, each participant customizes his or her own test to meet their individual ambitions, goals and needs.

lIL' dRAGONS:
4-5

Instead of teaching a traditional martial arts system to these young children, our Lil' Dragon program teaches martial arts motor skills. Our program has three elements: safety skills, life skills, and martial arts. We teach our kids to be good citizens and to prepare them for life, or at least kindergarten.
